HOW TO DE-STRESS AT THE END OF A BAD DAY OR WEEK

You don’t have to keep the stress through the night or weekend.

Find the steps that work for you and make yourself a priority!

1. Take a walk- At least 10 minutes but it will help if you also forget your phone while you’re doing it. Breathe in the fresh air and just be in the moment.

2. Watch or Listen to Comedy- Laughter is said to be the best medicine for a reason. So put on your favorite Comedian in any method you can and just laugh!

3. Get up Earlier- First time someone told me this, I was like no thank you! Then I had kids and now if I don’t wait up earlier than them, I’m cranky myself. I will take less sleep to get way more done in the morning so that I’m a much happier and more relaxed person for the rest of the day…because of the annoying little things to do, well they are done! OR you can take that time to just read or watch the news with your cup of coffee before everyone else wakes up and needs you.

4. List it- I wrote a blog about lists because this is my favorite method to de-stress even through the day, because for me at least, I can see what needs to be done, get those things done and see the list getting smaller. I remember better that way as well. And the more I accomplish, the better I feel.

5. Hug Someone- Sometimes all any of us need is just a hug to feel the weight of the world leave us. Like that physical reminder, we aren’t alone

6. Music on, Phones and TV off – Now Dance!

7. Turf off everything- the more engaged you are, the more overwhelmed you may feel. So just turn everything off, and take a moment for yourself. Quiet is lovely.

8. Clean/ Organize- Seeing chaos might cause some to feel the chaos. So de-stress by actively watching the chaos go away.

9. Drink Tea- you can absolutely do this anytime, but if you take a moment once a day or week to just make a nice big cup of warm tea where you can take 5 minutes and just embrace the warmth and calm, it helps. Specifically Green tea or Chamomile

10. Write- This is what changed my life as a little girl. Someone told me to write down how I felt and I haven’t stopped writing since. Because writing isn’t about grammar or spelling. It’s just about getting the things you need to say out. You don’t have to share your words with anyone. You can burn it. But getting things off your chest can be a great way to de-stress because you’re not holding in anything anymore. It’s gone and on that paper.

11. Watch a Movie- sometimes we just need to zone out for a bit and a movie is a great way to just not think.

12. Call them back and say No- Everyone might want you for some reason or another and we can’t do it all. So if there is something you don’t want to do or a place you don’t want to go. Just decline it. Feel bad about nothing afterward because you have a right to take a break.

13. Have a nice long workout- It’s a great way to de-stress and stay active!

14. Bubble Bath- Women and men can do this. They show this in movies and TV shows for a reason…It works!

15. Nap Time! - getting some sleep….I mean… Yes Please. Try it out! It doesn’t have to be daily.

Who Am I? The face behind this screen is easily seen at Youtube.com at GBRLIFE or the VLOG Page. But, I know that doesn't answer the question as to who I am. I'm a Mom, Wife, and full-time employee, who also happens to own her Own Vlog, Blog, Podcast, and Clothing Line. I have two kids of my own and 2 step kids and I’ve been married to a wonderful man since 2017. My 9-5 job is in the Technology industry so I deal with men all day, but I love getting to learn new things and helping humanity grow in the technology realm. On the side, I have always been a writer and I happen to talk a ton so GBRLIFE came into fruition along with a couple of books. I have loved every minute of GBRLIFE and I'm happy to share it with all of you. Please keep reading, commenting, following, buying, and subscribing! You make all of this possible and worth it. SO to finally answer the Who am I question...well I'm you! My Journey is your Journey!
