How To Allergy Proof Your Home

Not sure why this year has to be worse then others in every possible ways but allergies are no different. They are causing some serious stuffy noses in my house. We clean and clean but I know I need to do what I have done my whole life.

I have had allergies of all kinds my whole life. From my skin having both psoriasis and eczema to the inability to be majorly itchy after laying on any kind of grass. I can't walk into a Dusty anything without dealing with some kind of consequences, and now 2020 has brought whole new level to their annoyance.

But, I have my knowledge and this is what I do to help get rid of the issues in my home.

  1. Clean your home from head to toe. - Hoping I wouldn't say this? I know, it's probably easier to ignore this one but the allergies you are dealing with are in your home and to be allergy free you need to give it a good wipe down.

    • Dust everything

    • Wipe counters first

    • Vacuum up everything you would have on your floors after dusting and wiping

    • Mop last if the Floors allow for it

  2. Use as pure and clean of cleaning products as possible. - This means buying the stuff that doesn't have as many chemicals in it. Because those very chemicals can be bothering to you and cause allergies. So use products like Better life ( works better then clorox) and Method.

  3. Air Purifiers are your friend- You can clean the world but if the air has pollutants in it, that very air is causing your allergens to come right back into your home and on to everything you just cleaned. Or you get an air purifier and it cleans the air so you have a cleaner home.

  4. Don't keep your home cluttered- Clutter makes dust. Dust gives allergies. I have yet to meet anyone who isn't allergic to dust.

  5. Change your clothing when you get home.- (this helps with Covid too) When you are out and about, and you get home. Take off the outside clothing, put them in the washing machine, if you can take a shower but if not then just get into your house clothing and that will help keep more of the seasonal allergens from getting all over your house again.

Moral of the story: It's all about good Hygiene and cleaning. But you can be messy sometimes too as long as you have a balance.

* If you have kids, you’re reading this and thinking...no way am I going to be able to do this. Try Music. Clean and organize your home as you are able or once a week but first put on some music. Dance and have some FUN! That will show your kids, that it's fun to clean.*

Who Am I? The face behind this screen is easily seen at Youtube.com at GBRLIFE or the VLOG Page. But, I know that doesn't answer the question as to who I am. I'm a Mom, Wife, and full-time employee, who also happens to own her Own Vlog, Blog, Podcast, and Clothing Line. I have two kids of my own and 2 step kids and I’ve been married to a wonderful man since 2017. My 9-5 job is in the Technology industry so I deal with men all day, but I love getting to learn new things and helping humanity grow in the technology realm. On the side, I have always been a writer and I happen to talk a ton so GBRLIFE came into fruition along with a couple of books. I have loved every minute of GBRLIFE and I'm happy to share it with all of you. Please keep reading, commenting, following, buying, and subscribing! You make all of this possible and worth it. SO to finally answer the Who am I question...well I'm you! My Journey is your Journey!
