Online Business 101
The world of blogging and selling online is not the easiest to navigate in. It requires a large amount of research and a significant number of failures before getting it right. This does not mean you have to fail when starting up in the new blogging or online selling world. The truth is, all you have to do is ask and look around. Research still has to occur, but the more established owners have already made the failures and like a good little sister, I’m here to tell you we can all learn and grow by watching others before us fail.
I struggle to call myself established but at this point, I can say there is a few of my preferred tools to start the process going.
Here is what I use and what I have learned!
Selling merchandise? Shopify is a great way to do it and while it’s not the cheapest around, the interface they use and their partnerships with other companies like Amazon, Facebook, Instagram, and google make it a much better way to start the process versus trying to sell via Weebly or HostGator in a website you built by yourself. Shopify did it/does it for you and they have the success because it works. They are definitely not limited to the companies I mentioned either, so please be sure to check out if they work with the company, you may be interested in selling your merchandise with. If you do drop shipping, check out Printiful, they also work with many companies and they integrate with Shopify very easily.
Marketing 101 on your to do list? Go with Hootsuite, Mailchimp and Canva. These are not the only tools I personally use to market, but they are great ones. They have just about everything you could need to get your business known out there. Hootsuite is all about scheduling and automation for your posts across social media, Mailchimp can do this as well but they are much better with getting those subscribers and email campaigns going. Then Canva is your 1st stop to create the art you can/ the ad itself you plan on using to tell the world about your new product or service.
Need to make a video? MOVAVI! It’s my favorite way to record. This does not mean you shouldn’t invest in a good camera but it helps edit quickly and professionally. My videos could use more fine tuning but it’s not without the already available tools Movavi provides. My issue is time, but if you have more time and you intend on becoming a Youtuber or Tiktok creator, then give Movavi a chance. Although with Tiktok there is a whole new world of ways to record versus Movavi, which brings me to…
Trying to be an Influencer? Check out Vimeo Create or search apps like it. They have templates which allow you to be creative, up with the latest and not taking to much time to get it all done. But I would suggest first and foremost to get used to Tik Tok and use their tools first if you can. This is because of the Tik Tok algorithm. When you use the tools from Tik Tok, it will work in your favor for Views.
Need a way to get Keywords or Hashtags fast? Back to automation! There is hashtag Generators and keyword generators all over the internet. I use All-Hashtag.com, Hashtags-generator.com, and ingramer.com. There is many more out there, so keep looking because generators can come up out of nowhere and become your best friend immediately.
This isn’t all of my secrets but it’s enough to get many of you out there started. What are some of the tools you use and love?
