Cancel Culture
Adam Levine, Will Smith, Chrissy Teigen, and many other contentious public figures share the experience of dealing with cancel culture at some point in the past or present. They spend their days surrounded by the same kind of hatred that could have driven them there in the first place, but people rarely feel sorry for them because, in the eyes of society, they were just expelled from the island and are no longer allowed to live among us. Eye for an eye is how society operates, and if you are wealthy and famous enough to appear on our screens, you are expected to act like a model citizen. Although it's not how the rest of us heathens live, it's an unwritten rule of fame.
It is simple to join the crowd of yelling jurors and judges in continuing to crucify those who possess more than most. Not just because people want to congregate like the sheep we are, but also because so many of us secretly wish for those who achieved success at a level we admire to fail. Uncommonly spoken, there is a shameful thrill in misery that is experienced by more people than most would like to admit.
The saying "misery loves company" is not made up. Truth at its absolute best.
Although humans are naturally flawed, this does not mean that these individuals do not deserve to live with some guilt regarding their deeds.
Success from a traditional perspective is thought to immediately imply that these people have something figured out, yet that idea is as absurd as expecting fairy tale results in real life.
But here we are in the real world, surrounded by people who wish to sabotage success and happiness in order to satisfy their own desires and join others in sorrow.
Their jealousy and insecurities fuel their rage, which drives the mob to the slaughterhouse whenever a star errs.
Depending on the person, the celebrity could not even be one at all; they might just be the neighbor who neglected to put up their Christmas lights.
Keep in mind that crowd mentality can convince a complete neighborhood to extend cancel culture to the non-participants under the pretense of acting in the interests of the group. People like to forget that there is a type of indoctrination because they want to think of themselves as free thinkers.
Why?
That's easy; it's because that's what happens when society as a whole allows itself to behave in a narcissistic manner.
It is now obvious that we must cancel... Cancel Culture.
