5 Must-Have Apps For Bloggers
Canva- It’s been on my lists before but it’s also an app and frankly it’s extremely useful as an app, so there is no reason NOT to use it. Blogging is a job that requires a lot more attention and effort than people realize. An app like Canva gives you the ability to do everything you are doing on a computer right on your phone. So you don’t have to miss out on getting things done because you don’t have a computer around, as long as you have your phone.
You can post on social media
You can create advertisement Photos and videos
It has templates galore that are very customizable
Creating from scratch is super easy
Your creations are saved to reference again and again
Gmail- Don’t yell at me! Hear me out… It’s good for bloggers because of the Gsuite. You can Create your own Email account with YOUR company or YOUR blog as the email but all through Gmail. Then you use that email on everything to do with your business and you are automatically more professional, but you are also able to keep everything about your business in one spot. And it’s an app…that you probably already use personally.
Mailchimp or Hootsuite or both- I know there Is plenty of apps like these out there but I’m a fan of apps that also have websites, so you can work on things no matter what kind of equipment you are using!
These provide Mailing lists, Audience tracking, Campaign Creations, and Advertisements… and they even have the option of Integrating with Canva
WhatsApp Business or Google Voice- We talked already about communication via Gmail….ok I actually just said you can keep things all in one place but you can do that all one step further with WhatsApp Business or Google Voice and make sure you are able to safely communicate either your Audience promptly and efficiently…and if you use either of those, you have it linked to a specific Gmail/Gsuite account, so it’s still All in one place.
Notepad/Word/Sticky Notes- Inspiration strikes and when it does, it’s important to act on it. Songwriters have tons of notebooks and pieces of paper full of their words and melodies. You’re a writer, so having an app to get your thoughts collected helps. Even if you’re a Pen and Pencil person, this isn’t about always having the perfect medium available. It’s about getting those creative words out of you and someplace you can access them again soon.
Although Not Mentioned...Being on Social Media is Definitely a Good Idea but I also wanted to add 2 bonus apps/ideas.
BONUS:
Buffer/SocialBee/Loomly- A blog is only as good as people know about it. So in order to get your social media under control without having to put much time and effort into it versus your blog, you should definitely get a social media management tool! But if you are going doing that road, automation is amazing and these 3 options have just that!
Not an App but so essential in productivity that I’m just going to add it anyway…..A Digital Writing tool like Remarkable or Supernote! But these can be pricey and it’s not a must versus a want because a Notebook and calender will work the same.
Do you know of any tools, you can’t live without, that should be on this list?
